Key Learning Outcomes

1-Adheres to ethical values while performing his/her profession, uses a foreign language, updates himself/herself throughout life by following current technological developments and applications, and makes career planning.
2-Controls various electronic circuits by programming microprocessors and microcontrollers.
3-Creates professional drawings according to the technical drawing rules and draws these drawings with computer-aided design software.
4-Defines a mechatronic system and describes the functions of components in a sample system, as well as the interaction between each component, both in written and verbal form.
5-Designs digital or analog electronic circuits, and operates them by assembling them on a PCB or breadboard.
6-Designs, installs, and operates automation systems by using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
7-Diagnoses and troubleshoots power supply malfunctions; knows energy resources (especially renewable and sustainable resources) and their efficient use
8-Establishes the control and automation system, calibrates system components, and adjusts control parameters.
9-Explains the physical properties of substances, define concepts such as work, power, energy, statics, dynamics, mechanics, and describe the characteristics of electromagnetic waves.
10-Explain the characteristics of both direct and alternating current circuits and give examples of systems in which these circuits are used, recognize electrical machines and control elements, and choose servo drivers and encoders
11-Gains basic knowledge and skills in numerical machine tool hardware and computer-aided part programming.
12-Gains knowledge of electronic measurement technique, occupational health and safety, social responsibility and environmental awareness, and quality issues; performs drawing and simulation of electrical electronic circuits with a computer-aided design program
13-Gains sufficient mathematical knowledge to utilize formulas explaining the behavior of electronic and mechanical systems and to solve mathematical equations.
14-Has fundamental, up-to-date, and practical knowledge and skills in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Computer disciplines
15-Know about the properties of materials that they may encounter while performing their professions, recognize machine elements, have knowledge and skills about the manufacturing and shaping processes of metal and plastic materials.
16-Recognizes hydraulic and pneumatic system components, and sets up and operates a control system
17-Works in groups; makes and implements plans and programs with an analytical and critical thinking approach; presents solutions to complex problems in written and oral form.
