Recognition of Prior Learning
The process of recognition of former education in Turkish Higher Education Institutions is still at the start-up phase. Therefore, the recognition of former education has not been started completely in all departments of Namik Kemal University. Yet, a proficiency exam is held at the beginning of each academic year for the compulsary Foreign Language lesson which takes place in all departments’ curriculums. The students who have finished self-learning period or acquired necessary skills in these lessons have the chance to enter these exams. The students successful in these exams are considered privileged from the relevant lesson.
Degree Requirements and Rules
The students studying in this undergraduate program are required to have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (Cum.GPA) of not less than 2.00/4.00 and have completed all the courses with at least a letter grade of DD/S in the program in order to graduate. The minimum number of ECTS credits required for graduation is 120. It is also mandatory for the students to complete their compulsory internship in a specified duration and quality.
Program Profile
The progress of technology and progress in medicine has resulted in increased treatment options and lifetime. In this context, a number of health problems in our country and in the world have increased the number of individuals who have to continue their lives with certain disabilities and disabilities. To ensure that human life is active and independent in healthy or disabled, elderly, adult or child individuals; aims to graduate from physiotherapy technicians who will provide a wide range of services in order to increase the quality of life and to contribute physiotherapy studies including physical, psychological, social, environmental and social approaches based on scientific principles and to contribute to the improvement of society development and productivity. The program aims at scientific research in physiotherapy and rehabilitation problem-solving and clinical evaluation with the knowledge necessary to maintain and improve the physical health of healthy persons in order to ensure their social participation by maximizing the functionalities and activities of persons with impairment, activity restriction and participation problems by birth or later for any reason in terms of point of view and professional ethical principles; decision-making, critical, interpreting and explanatory points of view, life-long learning and impact The aim of this course is to train physiotherapy technicians who can produce knowledge in the field of interdisciplinary working principle.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Physiotherapy practices in our country and in the world are becoming more important and necessary every day. physiotherapy in our country has also increased in recent years. for this reason our graduates have a very broad working area. Graduates of this program can be trained in the fields of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Neurology / Pediatric Neurology, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Brain and Nerve Surgery , General Surgery, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Chest Diseases - Chest Surgery, Pediatrics, Urology, Oncology, Gynecology, Otorhinolaryngology, All Intensive Care Services, Plastic Surgery Services, Burning Units, Emergency Service Units and Dental Units, Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers, Prosthetics and Orthotics Production and Rehabilitation Centers, Primary Health Care Providers, Industry Centers, Schools, Sports Clubs, Retirement Homes, Vocational Rehabilitation Centers, Spa Centers, , Right at Home Maintenance Centers They may perform private or public duties in hotels for tourism.
Access To Upper Degree
Graduates can continue to study at the Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Departments of universities if they are successful in the DGS.
Exams, Assessment and Grading
At least 1 midterm and 1 final exam are required per semester. In practical courses, the application notes can be graded as the 2nd midterm exam depending on the evaluations of the application places or the decision of the instructor. In addition to the midterm, projects and assignments whose dates are specified in the period given at the beginning of each semester are given. At the end of each semester, students have to take the final exam. Visa and final exams are conducted according to student regulations and academic backgrounds at the date, place and time determined and announced by the university. The final grade of the student is given according to the results of midterm, project, homework and final exam. At Namik Kemal University, the passing grade is 60 out of 100. However, the end-of-term/year grade of a course; provided that a decision is made by the relevant faculty/college board and announced at the beginning of the semester, it can be calculated between 30% and 50% of the arithmetic average of the midterm exam or midterm exams, between 70% and 50% of the grade received in the end-of-term/year or make-up exam, and the total of the ratios can be 100%. As a result of the calculation, if the first number after the decimal point is less than five, it is increased to the next lower integer, if it is five or greater than five, it is finalized by increasing it to the next higher integer.

Students are required to take the first semester of the course in which they have taken courses. Students who have completed associate degree / undergraduate education and whose GPA is between 3.00 and 3.49 are honor students; Students with a mean of 3.50 or above graduate as high honor students.
